Repeaters In Top Condition

Posted on April 23, 2023 By JARA-Admin

Effective April 17, 2023, both repeaters were back on the air and performing their best. This was the result of much work by the JARA team: Gary (WØMNA), Steve (WØSER), Roxann (KZØIMO), Ed (KD7QOR), Phil (KFØDQA), Keith (KFØKBC), Randy (KØAWW), Max (KØMDP) Martha (WØERI) and Rick (NJØP). Every system was checked and the Workman V/UHF receiver antenna system replace with a new mount and Diamond X200A Dual-Band Base Antenna. We have pictures.

Since we already learned the less, “If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it”, we’ll re-evaluate the idea of a different or longer receive antenna at the top of the tower.

On April 18, 2023, after a few reboots, checks and updates, the WiresX and Pi-Star connections seem to be operating vey well with minimal lag.
