Troubleshooting the 145.33 Repeater

Posted on January 10, 2025 By Staff Member

We had some issues with the 145.33 repeater on Sunday evening during the January 5th ARES net. Gary WOMNA, Steve W0SER, and Rick NJ0P visited the repeater site on Thursday morning, January 9th. Everything appeared to be in order, but we speculated that there may have been an issue with the amplifier. The amplifier was taken out of the circuit and the repeater is now running barefoot at 50 watts. That’s 50% of the power (100 watts) when the amplifier is in the circuit and running optimally.

Please collect performance reports and relay them on the Sunday JARA net Sunday, 7 pm local time, January 12th.
